Features

InData is a new Adobe InDesign Plug-in that brings the full typographic- and picture-publishing power of InDesign to bear on data-driven, repetitive publishing tasks such as catalogues, directories, form letters, financial summaries, tables, labels, lists of all sorts, and more.

The InData 2.0 scripting language is 100% compatible with Xdata 3/4.1, so all Xdata experts out there are already up to speed with InData.

Features:

• data publishing at hundreds of pages per hour;

• simply put, InData works like a mail merge on steroids;

• write simple text statements to import and format text and graphics;

• with menu-driven tools and a few clicks, build documents at hundreds, or even thousands, of pages per hour;

• use InDesign's typographic controls for each variable field and for any intervening text, to get just the right look for data;

• powerful English-like scripting language;

• put any field from a data source in any order in the text flow, force page breaks, generate headers/footers, apply master pages as needed;

• use InData's scripting language to build simple or complex rules for including or excluding fields, pictures and static text; and

• there are no limits on data: records and fields can be as many and as long as needed.
